A Cup of Starbucks Teavana5:24 AM
There's a point in our once immature lives when we think that tea is for old people. It could be true, say some friends for appreciation of real tea comes with wisdom and experience.
What Starbucks want is to alienate no one. May you be a tea lover, or someone who'd love a sip whenever you feel like it, they want you to appreciate tea in its finest form. This is regardless of which point of life you're in -- full of wisdom or chasing for it.
During the long weekend, we got the chance to try the new Starbucks Teavana, a lineup of handcrafted beverages and full leaf tea packaged in sachets which are only gonna be available in Starbucks stores in China and the Asia Pacific region, including the Philippines.
Beginning September 11, 2016, these handcrafted beverages will already be available in all Starbucks stores: the Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea with Pomengranate Pearls, Ice Shaken Black Tea with Ruby Grapefruit and Honey, and the Matcha and Espresso Fusion (Matcha powder layered with milk and Starbucks signature Espresso Roast).
In addition to the handcrafted beverages, Starbucks is also introducing Starbucks Teavana Full Leaf Tea Sachets which will be available starting September 14.
Emperor's Clouds and Mist will come a long way from the steep, windy slopes of Huangshan Mountain in China. This tea has a rich body and a naturally sweet flavor.
The English Breakfast is a handcrafted blend of Indian Assam, Sri Lankan Ceylon (not meant to be redundant), and Chinese black tea. This tea tastes great with or without milk.
The Youthberry is inspired by acai fruit which is blended with tropical pineapple and mango flavors with high quality white tea and balanced by rosehips and tart green apple.
One of the three Caffeine-free Herbal Teas, together with Mint Blend and Chamomile, the Teavana Hibiscus is composed of bright, juicy papaya and mango combined with citrus lemongrass for a naturally caffeine-free blend. This is aptly called too with Hibiscus flowers added to lend the tea a slight tartness and an extraordinarily deep fuchsia color.
The Starbucks Teavana Full Leaf Tea Sachets can be purchased at the store and can be enjoyed at the comfort of your homes, of course. When you purchase at the store, tea servings in tall and grande will cost PhP110 while a venti is priced at PhP125. For take out packages which are packaged in brightly-colored boxes by the way, a box of 12 sachets costs PhP525.
So, are you looking forward to many more tea time?
I know you're waiting for updates on the new Starbucks cards. You'll be excited about the Autumn Leaf Cards (pictured above) which are available leaf-shaped and in different shades of the autumn spectrum - red, yellow, orange, brown and green. Starbucks also released the Mid-Autumn Festival Card (with me in the photo below) which should be perfect for your coffee moments during the Moon Festival season.
