TV5 beefs up primetime with new shows

TV5 is once again in fighting form as they beef up their primetime with new and exciting line up of shows which starts this October. Getting into the ratings game with ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida and GMA Telebabad is TV5's Everyday All the Way

Sharon Cuneta and Aga Muhlach will debut a series of firsts on TV5; a drama series
for Sharon (Madam Chairman) and Aga Muhlach's first game show host assignment
(Let's Ask Pilipinas). The veterans stars are joined on stage by Bing Loyzaga,
Rufa Mae Quinto, Helga Krapf, and Edward Mendez. 

Sharon Cuneta stars on her first soap opera via Madam Chairman. She is joined by Jay Manalo, Ciara Sotto, Bayani Agbayani, Fanny Serrano and Artista Academy's Akihiro Blanco and Shaira Mae dela Cruz. Madam Chairman airs from Monday to Friday at 7PM. This will be followed by Ogie Alcasid's inspirational drama series The Gift. 

Drama series will not solely fill in TV5's primetime as Aga Muhlach is set to host his first game show Let's Ask Pilipinas. Using the internet, contestants of the show shall play at the comfort of their homes for prizes which could up to as much as PhP500,000. Let's Ask Pilipinas will be aired from Mondays to Fridays after The Gift. 

TV5 will also premiere two drama anthology series which will take longer airing hours but will only be aired once a week. These are For Love Or Money and Positive which will air beginning October 17. For Love Or Money will topbill Ritz Azul, Derek Ramsay, Alice Dixson and Edward Mendez and you can watch it right after Let's Ask Pilipinas. A groundbreaking and socially-relevant drama series will feature Mart Escudero in Positive which will air at 9:30PM. Doing support roles for Mart in this drama series are Rufa Mae Quinto, Bing Loyzaga, Helga Krapf and Bianca Manalo. 

Serving as hosts at the 'Everyday All the Way' trade show are Paolo Bediones, 
Edu Manzano and Derek Ramsay.

During the weekend, Filipino-British hunks will showcase the daily lives of the Filipinos in a reality-documentary show Juan Direction. The hosting cast will include Brian Wilson, Daniel Marsch, Michale McDonnell, Charlie Sutcliffe and Henry Edwards. Juan Direction will premiere on Saturday, October 12, from 10PM to 10:30PM. 

After the launch of Weekend Do It Better, TV5's Entertainment Head Wilma Galvante assures Filipino audiences that the country's third largest network is ready to entertain during time slots when more people are hooked up on television; during weekends and primetime. "Our primetime will be different as you can see. It will be full of drama, comedy, and suspense because of our game show. TV5 is serious in getting more share of the total ratings", Galvante added. 

Everyday All the Way is introduced this October with programs scheduled to be aired until December. A new set of shows will be conceptualized for the first quarter of 2014.
