The Clark Zilla 4x4 Adventure at Zoocobia

1:54 AM

There is something new with Zoocobia's open ground when I got the chance to see it for the second time in Clark, Pampanga yesterday, July 24, 2013. It's not the new animals added in the zoo but the 4 x 4 (four-wheel drive) vehicles parked. Written on a piece of paper given to bloggers is a promising welcoming statement: "Steer the Wheel! Feel the Thrill!" That moment I knew we are up for something exciting.

It will be the first time that I will ride an off-road vehicle or what we commonly call here in the Philippines as the 4 x 4. Technically, the same car, which is also called as the All-wheel drive, is a vehicle with a drive train that allows all four wheels to receive torque from the engine simultaneously. Powering all four wheels provides better control than normal road cars on many surfaces, thus the use of the car for extreme activities. Zoocobia adds this attraction to their growing number of fun activities lined up for guests and they call it the Clark Zilla

I was so blessed to be part of the first group of bloggers who were invited by the Zoomanity Group to try their newest activity. The trail has not been completed yet but we took off right after the ribbon-cutting. We drove down the grassy slopes of Clark and got stuck in for almost 10 minutes in one turn as it was raining. The management of Zoocobia reveals that they are opening a longer, more adventure-filled trail offering a drive-off to the lahar (mudflow) areas of Pampanga up to the hot springs. The new route is estimated to run for about an hour, they said, which is about to open mid-September at a still to be published rate.

Together with the Clark Zilla, Zoocobia also launched two new shows, the Fantastic Flight Bird Show and the Recycle Recital Show. Two more attractions are also scheduled to be unveiled before the end of the year: the Zip line and the mini ATV (All-terrain vehicle) ride.

Zoocobia is a fun theme park that offers a variety of interesting and enjoyable activities and attractions including the first gravity car ride in the Philippines called the Zooc Ride. Other attractions also include the Maze, the Zoocology Museum, The Barn, Giant Slides, and Birds of Paradise.

Zoocobia Fun Zoo is an affiliate of the Zoobic Summer Safari in Subic and is located in Paradise Ranch, Sacobia, Clark, Pampanga.
