Aiza Seguerra celebrates her 25th showbiz  anniversary through “Bente Singko” concert

Who could have thought a Little Miss Philippines charmer who entertained us during lunch time more than 2 decades ago can still entertain us until now. Aiza Seguerra may not be saying the same "kasabihans" and may not be wearing the same laced head bands, she is short-haired now in fact, but it doesn't mean she is less fun. With her music and now a top teleserye on television, I say Aiza is successful in entertaining us for the past 25 years.

To say 'thank you' to her fans, Aiza performed the songs which lengthened her career and sang with her artist friends in Bente Singko, her 25th Anniversary Concert last Friday, September 28. Even she was surprised to come up on stage and realized that the Big Dome was full. "Ay, may naloko din. Salamat po sa inyong lahat na nagpunta", she said after she sang her opening song.

The "anniversary girl" if I am to call it, performed as expectedly with her co-members of the ASAP Sessionistas; Richard Poon, Princess and Juris with Nyoy Volante and Kean Cipriano and in another number with Gloc 9. She also sang power ballads with Bayang Barrios and Cookie Chua and the inspirational song "Wind Beneath My Wings" with her Protege and that reality show's grand champion whom she introduced as "a special person", Krizza Neri.

But her best times are her duet with two of local music's finest performers, the people whom she said is already "a family" to her, Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera. She also performed a song with her Eat Bulaga mentor and "best friend" Vic Sotto. Right after their performance, Sotto quipped: "Sa hinahaba-haba ng aming pagkakaibigan, may dinadamdam pala sa akin 'to. Hindi ko man lang daw siyang ginawang leading lady. Ano 'to, lokohan?" Megastar Sharon Cuneta also joined her onstage and performed "Bituing Walang Ningning", a song claimed as her success theme song.

Aiza wrapped up her 2-hour concert with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra singing the song that made people fall inlove with her for the first time, Yoyoy Villames's "Butsikik" (her Little Miss Philippines talent piece", and the song that revived her career, "Pagdating ng Panahon". From her innocent jokes to her music of love, Aiza Seguerra, truly, will be regarded as one of the greatest entertainers this country have.

Here's a video of Aiza and Juris performing the first song that Aiza produced "Di Lang Ikaw"
